THIS SITE HAS NOW MOVED - our main activity in blogging health and nursing informatics events is on a new Wordpress site.

Most of our conference and event blogging is now being done through our NEW hi-blogs.info blog site - http://www.hi-blogs.info (http://www.hi-blogs.info) - also http://urcru.wordpress.com - rather than through individual event blogs. uCru members also post to their own blogs.

Information update by Peter Murray on 02 January, 2009

hi-blogs.info - the portal to conference blogs for health informatics and nursing informatics events, and to blogs, podcasts, wikis, etc. in health/nursing informatics education and events.
Previously, most of our conference and event blogging at present was done at our hi-blogs.info blog - http://www.differance-engine.net/krew/ (http://www.differance-engine.net/krew/) - rather than through individual event blogs. Members also post to their own blogs. We will provide updates here if this changes for any particular event.

This portal will provide links to:1. conference and event blogs developed by the collaboration team (see below) for health informatics and nursing informatics conferences and events2. materials on the use of blogs, podcasts, wikis, and other emerging Web 2.0 tools in education and professional development3. description and discussion of ongoing research into the development of collaborative models for conference blogs4. information on papers, conference presentations, tutorials and workshops that members of the collaborative team have delivered or will deliver on any or all of the issues addressed here5. discussion forums around the activities explored and described here6. exploration of the potential for using and developing Web 2.0 applications in health informatics - towards Health Informatics 2.0.This portal is in continuous development - please come back often - or get the RSS feeds.Contact: our email address is hi.blogs[at]gmail.com Peter Murray 20 March, 2008 (Portal first online 20 December 2005) The collaboration team includes:Peter Murray - www.peter-murray.net (http://www.peter-murray.net) Rod Ward - www.rodspace.co.uk (http://www.rodspace.co.uk) Karl Øyri - www.deltadigital.no (http://www.deltadigital.no) Bill Perry - www.creekspace.net (http://www.creekspace.net) Margaret Hansen (was Maag) - www.m2hnursing.com (http://www.m2hnursing.com) Scott Erdley -

Blogging SINI2008

From 16-19 July (approx), Peter and Scott will be blogging from SINI2008 (nursing.umaryland.edu/sini (http://nursing.umaryland.edu/sini)) at the University of Maryland School of Nursing in Baltimore. We will not be creating a separate SINI blog as we have in recent years, but will be posting here. We hope to see many readers at SINI, but if you cannot be there, you can follow some of the activity here.

We will also be trying out ‘live blogging’ using coveritlive.com Each session that we cover with this will have a link to a coveritlive site; you can click on this to read live coverage of SINI (or the archive afterwards). More later in the week, once we start.
