CHIRAD changes, September 2009 PDF Print E-mail

CHIRAD is changing and its administrative centre will be moving. We will provide further updates soon.

Prof. Graham Wright now works at Walter Sisulu University, Mthatha, South Africa and lives in South Africa; Dr Helen Betts will be moving there soon.

We will be discussing the changes with CHIRAD Fellow and Members first, and then will publicise the nature of the changes.

CHIRAD.ORG - the CHIRAD portal

CHIRAD changes - CHIRAD is changing and moving. Watch out for updates.

 CHIRAD is the Centre for Health Informatics Research and Development.

Our aim is to provide an environment for the development of Health Informatics as an academic subject. CHIRAD is a company limited by guarantee that is a non-for-profit organisation. It is probably the first virtual R&D centre for Health Informatics.


CHIRAD is proud to be an Academic Institutional member of IMIA, the International Medical Informatics Association (www.imia.org), and is the first Institutional member of EFMI, the European Federation for Medical Informatics (www.efmi.org)

This site will be the portal to the other CHIRAD websites.

CHIRAD's new 'Big Issues' series has started. Hosted on the CHIRAD.ORG.UK site, the 'Big Issues' papers will be an occasional series exploring a wide variety of issues. Each will have an associated discussion forum.

CHIRAD.NET launched PDF Print E-mail

CHIRAD.NET is the latest online resource to be established by CHIRAD. It is designed to serve as a resource and set of services and toold for CHIRAD Fellows and Members, for collaborative work, and for testing out new tools and applications.

CHIRAD.NET runs on Google Apps for Domains, and we are tsting out the various functions, applications, etc. that are included in the package. At present, it is a 'work in progress' and, as with many other CHIRAD activities, 'in perpetual beta'.
